Somewhere Over the Rainbow

The summer just wouldn't be complete without at least one good rainbow picture. This is over one of our corn fields.

Tractor Pull

We took the boys to a tractor pull last night. It was a perfect night, not too warm. They had a blast!

From the Front Porch

I finally got all my flowers for the front walkway and porch. I had marigolds lining the sidewalk, but the rabbits ate them down to nothing, so I replaced them with zinnia's yesterday. And the porch still needs a second coat of stain, just having a hard time getting motivated to do it all again.

Annie the 20th

Almost every year, my parents end up with an orphaned calf. Mom always calls her Annie and feed her with a pail until she's big enough to steal from the others. This is this years Annie.

Ralph

A friend of our stopped over with his new puppy. He's an 11 week old Jack Russel Terrier. The boys loved playing with him. Notice the freshly stained front porch? Still have another coat to put on. What a pain.

Oops!

It's only been a few weeks and I'm already slacking on posting everyday. Here's a shot of the corn. It's looking nice but could really use some rain.

Standing on Water

Another busy day here, so I pulled one out of the archives. 2005 to be exact. That's Hunter standing on a sandbar, at sunset.

Guess what we did?

Picked strawberries this morning. They were pretty small because of a recent dry spell. But they are delicious.

A 'Little' Farming

If I would let him, he'd live outside. The sandbox is his favorite field to work in.
